Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Saweetie will be taking over Saturday Night Live as this month’s musical guests, the NBC series confirmed on Tuesday (Nov. 2).
As promised, Sheeran will be able to take the stage at Studio 8H on Nov. 6, following his positive COVID-19 diagnosis last month. On Tuesday morning, he confirmed on his socials that he had been released from isolation and that “SNL is still on.” Succession actor Kieran Culkin will host the Nov. 6 episode this coming Saturday. Sheeran’s performance comes on the heels of his new album =.
The next week, Lovecraft Country and The Harder They Fall actor Jonathan Majors will make his hosting debut on Nov. 13, with Swift staying true to her lucky number and returning to SNL as the musical guest. She last performed on the late-night comedy sketch series in 2019, where she performed “Lover” and “False God” from her Billboard 200-topping album Lover. Her upcoming stint will come just one day after the release of her second re-recorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version).
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu will host and Saweetie will perform for their respective first times on the show for the Nov. 20-dated episode. She has yet to release her highly anticipated debut album Pretty Bitch Music.
